Architecture Day

AREA78 is an area undergoing extensive development. The refurbishment of this business park along with Waterbusplein square on the banks of the Noord in Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht is increasingly taking shape.

On the afternoon of Friday, 1 June - architecture day - Ham Group, Koedood Dieselservice and the Bolidt Experience Center will be opening their doors so that you can take a sneak peek inside their ultra modern and Breeam Excellent facilities being built on the River Noord.
You can join the construction tour to take a look inside one or more of these firms and hear about what they do.

Architects Sander Ros and Joris Luchinger, and Jeroen Plaisier, project developer of Waterbusplein, will be able to tell you more about their vision on the day.

AREA78

Access by water plays an important role in the development of the whole area. Dutch and foreign visitors will pass iconic buildings and get a good impression of typical Dutch waterside manufacturing industry. In addition to the development of the business park, a number of special initiatives are taking shape on the banks of the river, such as the creation of hotel rooms by the bridge over the Noord.

Bolidt

Bolidt is creating the Bolidt Campus here. Alongside its existing facilities, the firm is not only building a new logistics centre, but also a welcoming experience & innovation centre with a living lab. The building is characterised by its flowing lines, transparency and free routing. Visitors are immersed in the world of plastic applications and can get to know all the different facets of the company.

Koedood Dieselservice

Koedood Dieselservice is a major player in the field of ship's engines for inland navigation vessels. The new building will be Koedood's calling card, with a showroom, storage and office under one roof. The pride of the family firm is being transformed into a quality building made from robust materials with beautiful details.

de Ham Groep

The new building for the Ham Group lies at the 'head' of the new industrial area. The facade is a continuous curtain wall with 'structural glazing' in order to make the whole as minimalist as possible.
