The Essence of Integrated Design.
A superyacht that truly stands apart is defined by more than its exterior lines or interior details. Real customization lies beneath your feet: in the deck. Because a yacht can only be considered fully custom when its decking is part of the design vision.

For Daroca Design, this idea became the guiding principle behind REAL, part of Oceanco’s Simply Custom Collection. REAL embodies minimalism, elegance and authenticity, a yacht where every line flows in harmony with the sea. “If a yacht is to be truly bespoke, then so must its deck,” says Daroca. “The deck is not a separate element but an integral part of the design. It is where my vision becomes tangible.”

To bring this vision to life, Daroca worked closely with Bolidt. While most custom yachts feature exteriors and interiors that break new ground, their decks often follow familiar patterns. With Bolidt’s decking systems, the timeless appearance of teak can be replicated with near perfection, but the true strength lies in the freedom to go beyond tradition. Patterns, colours and structures can be tailored entirely to the designer’s imagination, unlocking possibilities that conventional materials cannot deliver. “We see the deck as an interface between design and experience,” says Robert van Aarle, director Maritime & Defence of Bolidt.

“Designers bring the vision, owners bring their dreams, and we provide the expertise to translate them into material and application. Inspiration can come from anywhere in the world, from architecture to nature to art, and we ensure it becomes both technically and aesthetically real.”

For the Monaco Yacht Show, Daroca and Bolidt developed an exclusive deck concept that extends the elegant, flowing lines of REAL into the surface underfoot. Instead of repeating traditional patterns, Daroca created an abstract pattern that mirrors the yacht’s exterior language. The result is a deck that is not only functional and durable but also a continuation of the yacht’s story, an expression of freedom, creativity and identity.

“Oceanco gave us the freedom to explore this idea,” Daroca explains. “Their platform provided the foundation, and together with Bolidt we were able to take the design further than usual. It shows what becomes possible when shipyard, designer and decking specialist step outside convention and push for the extraordinary.”

With its refined proportions and minimalist philosophy, REAL radiates simplicity and honesty. The custom deck reinforces that story: it highlights the unity between exterior and deck and proves that true customization extends far beyond interior styling. “For us, this is the essence of integrated design,” says Daroca. “The deck tells the same story as the yacht itself, a story not borrowed from the past but born from today’s vision.”
