The reason why Boligrip wearing courses are chosen for vital parts, such as bridges and flyovers, is that they are more durable than traditional products. Because of its synthetic wearing courses, which are functional, durable and practically maintenance-free, Bolidt has won its spurs in civil and hydraulic engineering. The name Boligrip stands for durable synthetic wearing courses for wooden, concrete or steel decks of bridges and flyovers.
Boligrip is designed to withstand the traffic load and movements/ deformation of the road. The synthetic wearing course may also be applied as a hybrid system, in which case the first layer functions as an elastic, fluid-tight, crack bridging membrane. Z.OK stands for Zeer Open Kunststof (= Very Open Synthetic). This skeleton-shaped wearing course is characterised by its excellent performance with regard to important qualities like moisture storage and draining capacity, sound reduction and high resistance to wear. The material is strong and durable: not rutting and resistant to the destructive powers of melting salts, chemicals, oils, petrol. Unlike bitumen-bound paving, it has high initial skid resistance. Ramps and vital road sections may be heated electrically by the Bolidt/Siemens system. The heating cable is protected by a synthetic grid and is 3 mm below the Boligrip surface. VP joint profile. These Bolidtan Vp joint constructions absorb expansion and shrinkage. This system is seamlessly incorporated into the asphalt pavement.

Many different wearing course systems apply to roads, runways and platforms; from coatings with a thickness of 100 µ up to synthetic systems of 10 mm. Prices depend greatly on the size of the surface and the choice of system.
For a 1,000 m² prices range between € 25 per m² for a thin functional coating and € 150 per m² for an exceptionally high quality, state-of-the-art wearing course system.
