Bolidt gears its floors to more than just butter, cheese and eggs. Milk and ice cream, derivative products such as yogurt, custard, eggnog. Divisions of the food industry in which requirements for use such as safety and hygiene also play an important part in the HACCP management this. In production areas the Bolidtop floors are resistant to fats, creams, lactic acids, sugars, fruit juices, proteins, carbohydrates, colouring agents… all kind of additives. It goes without saying that in this "wet" industry the floor finish has to be resistant to chemicals, impermeable and pore-tight.
The finish must not absorb moisture or allow it to penetrate; drains, gutters and grids are perfectly sealed off all around, skirting boards are incorporated seamlessly into the floor. The production area requires a different floor from the area in which automated processes such as filling and packaging take place. The load on the floor can vary immensely; transport can be via the conveyor belt or via rolling equipment on level floors. The advent of new type of packaging has an effect on the transport. It requires floors that can withstand rough treatment, have a long life span and require virtually no maintenance, just as in dispatch areas.
