Multi-storey car parks have to be able to stand rough usage. The roof is exposed to the elements and strong fluctuations of temperature (up to 70 C). Floors have to be wear-resistant and sufficiently rough; also they have to be resistant to the influence of melting salts, oil and petrol. Boliflex is a membrane, which has a very good adhesive capacity to concrete, is seamless and permanently elastic. The Boligrip wearing course is applied to the Boliflex membranes as a finish. Together they form an extremely firm combination, as the materials are related. The Boligrip systems are seamless, elastic, fluid-tight, UV-resistant, wear-resistant and skid-resistant, lightweight and practically maintenance-free.

For the parking roof, Bolidt has developed the Bolidrain wearing course with its water-storing and water-draining capacity. Owing to the synthetic binder, the functional strength qualities are maintained both in summer and winter: while traditional materials with a base of, for instance, asphalt or bitumen often cause difficulties when exposed to temperature differences. The Bolidrain system can also be applied over roof insulating plates: the inverse roof construction. Another argument for choosing Bolidt remains invisible, but is highly important: the systems are sound reducing. Ramps and vital road sections can be heated electrically by the Bolidt/ Siemens system. The heating cable is protected by a synthetic grid and is 3 mm below the Boligrip surface.

Many different wearing course systems apply to car parks; from coatings with a thickness of 100 µ up to synthetic systems of 10 mm. Prices depend greatly on the size of the surface and the choice of system.

For a 1,000 m² prices range between € 15 per m² for a thin functional coating and € 150 per m² for an exceptionally high quality, state-of-the-art wearing course.
